Hello darling! Two blog posts two weeks in a row – I’m on a roll! Today we’re aiming for the moon and soaring past the stars with the fabulous Space Age Bobbie jumper by Miss Fortune.

It’s winter down in New Zealand, so comfy knits are something I’ve been looking to invest in (and if they’re cute, even better). Miss Fortune have added to their amazing Bobbie jumper line-up, and I couldn’t go past the Space Age sweater in blue. I love the retro-futurist aesthetic (the 50s/60s interpretation of the future is fascinating), so I was thrilled to get my hands on this design.

Miss Fortune is based in the UK and the Bobbie jumpers come in an array of colours and patterns. This may be my first Bobbie jumper, but it certainly won’t be the last.

They’re made to be paired with high-waisted pants or skirts and are acrylic. The jumper is super soft and doesn’t itch – I can wear it nothing but a bra underneath. The cut of the sweater is a classic t-shirt style cut with a rounded neckline and shorter sleeves. The acrylic is breathable enough that you don’t get too warm while wearing it, but it keeps you warm enough in the wintery months. I’m tempted to try and break it out during spring and summer considering how lightweight it is, but I’ll have to wait and see on that one.

I went for the blue for obvious reasons, plus I love the classic look of the red rocket in the design. The sweater is also available in baby pink with a baby blue rocket if you’re after for a softer, pastel look.

Miss Fortune makes sizes from x-small to xx-large, and the Bobbie jumpers have a good amount of stretch to them. I get a tonne of compliments when I wear this sweater and it goes so well with a lovely red lippy.

Miss Fortune ship worldwide if you want to buy direct, but they also have product stockists around the world if that’s more convenient for you.

14 June selection 2

I would happily and highly recommend Miss Fortune’s Bobby jumpers to anyone who’s on the fence about buying one, and at £38.49 (approx. $75NZD as of 15/07/2018), they’re a reasonably priced stellar statement piece to add to your winter wardrobe. I’m eyeing up the spiderweb Bobbie jumpers as we speak…

So what do you think? Do you love the Space Age Bobbie jumper? Do you own any pieces by Miss Fortune and what do you think about them?

Until next time darling, take care of yourself!

Lots of love,
Mrs Greatnews xx

Such an adorable jumper and it looks wonderful on you! The colours and fit are fabulous and I too love the 1950’s and 60’s space age/retro futuristic aesthetic – rockets! ray guns! space men! LOL. Love it! Someday I’d love to make myself a dress with some 50’s/60’s true or inspired fabric covered in rockets, etc, it would be such a fun dress to wear!
