Blogmas Day 10 – Chocolate Bark Recipe

Done bark.png

I love baking, but I haven’t done any proper baking in such a long time. I love making chocolate bark because you can make it look fancy and it involves very little work, plus it makes great Christmas presents.

Ingredients

1-chocolate2-toppings

  • Chocolate
    • You can use as much or as little as you like, it depends how much bark you want. I used three blocks of Whittaker’s Chocolate, one milk chocolate, one white chocolate and one dark chocolate
  • Toppings
    • You can pick whatever you like, fruit, nuts, lollies… I prefer mine to be colourful and sweet, so I’m using M&M’s minis, sprinkles, fruit puffs and candy canes

  • Break up the chocolate into small pieces
  • Melt chocolate in the microwave in 20 second sessions until melted and smooth

  • Line a baking dish with baking paper
  • Layer in the chocolate – I like to alternate the different flavours

Pre-refrigeration

  • Refrigerate for about two hours until chocolate has set

Post-refrigeration

  • Cut up the bark or smash it up – I had to cut this batch because I made the chocolate too thick

And you’re done! Enjoy the chocolatey goodness. ❤
